Henderson Consulting begins by identifying models of intergroup cooperation and understanding, examples of people effectively bridging the gaps that result from a sense of difference of any kind in your organization. We call these "models of unity" and they are foundations of change. They demonstrate how much your organization already knows about diversity and they pinpoint natural starting points for intervention. The process of change is based on the bedrock of good practices that exist in your organization and relies on the people, examples, and language common to your culture.
Finding "models of unity" is the first step of our cultural audit process. The cultural audit assesses the degree to which management and employment systems function to unify the diversity of people, thought, skills, and kinds of work to be done. Our experience has shown that for virtually every challenge faced by an organization, there is a good practice already at work. Cultural audit findings locate these practices and we use them to develop a roadmap for the implementation of customized training and consulting interventions, management coaching, and communications.
Our diversity training and consulting services teach organization members to use these models of unity to achieve organizational transformation. Our workshops offer members the skills needed to establish understanding and cooperation, enhance problem solving, develop effective communication, and increase their productivity in diverse environments.
